To the naked eye there is almost no difference between safe and unsafe fluid (as shown). The unsafe fluid on the left has absorbed moisture which causes two things. It breaks down the fluid so that it doesn't react the way it should. It will also slowly rust out your metal brake components causing them to leak or crack.
